What Makes Sailing Different?
A sailboat trades speed for atmosphere.
- Quiet: When conditions allow, you hear the water and wind rather than an engine.
- Traditional feel: Many guests enjoy the sense of moving by wind power.
- Relaxed pace: Sailing suits long, unhurried days with swimming and lunch.
- Your choice of role: Some guests like to help with the sails, while others simply relax.
Sailing the Costa del Sol
Marbella sits on a coastline of beaches, marinas and mountains. From the water you can take in the Sierra Blanca, the Marbella shoreline, Puerto Banús, and the beaches toward Estepona and Cabopino.
Wind decides how much actual sailing is possible. On lighter days, the engine may be used for part of the trip. This is normal and worth keeping in mind when you choose a date.
When to Sail in Marbella
The main sailing season runs from spring into autumn. Summer brings the warmest weather and swimming conditions, though winds can be light. May, June and September often combine comfortable temperatures with more room on the water.
Winds on this coast can shift through the day. If you would like more active sailing, ask which times tend to work best.
